Quiet Study As a community service, the library makes its Local History Room available to Waldwick residents for periods of quiet study when it is not being used for its primary purpose: library-related activities. Additionally, the Local History Room may be used for meetings of nonprofit community groups that do not exceed the maximum occupancy of six persons. Nonprofit community groups are defined and limited to "those groups which are located within or have their principal business address within the Borough of Waldwick." Use of the Local History Room shall be governed by the same tenets contained in the Waldwick Library Meeting Room Policy and Waldwick Library Code of Conduct. Applications for use of the Local History Room will accepted from and limited to: Waldwick residents (proof of residency required) Waldwick Library ESOL tutors Nonprofit community groups of six persons or less As in all other areas of the library, the use of cell phones, and the consumption of food or beverages is strictly prohibited. Use of the telephone, computer, scanning, and printing equipment located in the Local History Room is strictly prohibited by those using the room by request. The Local History Room may not be reserved for more than two hours per day or ten hours per week. Patrons more than fifteen minutes late for their reservation will forfeit their use of the room, unless they notify library personnel. Adopted by the Library Board of Trustees Date: October 17, 2012

    HOME ABOUT eLIBRARY YOUTH SERVICES ADULTS More... Frequently Asked Questions Can I make an appointment to have my passport application processed? At this time, all services are provided on a first come, first serve basis. We are happy to work to accommodate special needs individuals. How long will it take when I get in to see the agent? In general, if you have all your paperwork in order and you have a simple application, the process will only take about 10 minutes per application. Please refer to the correct section of the website to see what paperwork you need to bring. Can I use a credit or debit card, Apple Pay or the like? No. The U.S. Dept. of State will accept checks or money orders only. You should bring separate checks for each application and one for the execution fee. The Waldwick Library wll accept checks, money orders and cash for photos and the execution fee. Do I have to pay an execution fee no matter where I have my application processed? Yes, the execution fee for all DS11 forms is currently $35 for everyone and is set by the U.S. Dept. of State . Does the passport agent work for the Waldwick Library or the government? The passport acceptance agents work for the Waldwick Library. They are certified as Acceptance Agents by the United States Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs and participate in yearly training to maintain certification. In addition to annual training our agents regulary receive stellar grades at yearly auditing of our facility. When will I find the shortest wait time to apply for a passport? There is really no predicting the right time to come for the least amount of waiting time. In general Saturdays are our busiest days. We recommend coming during our weekday, nighttime hours. The late summer into fall is also usually a less busy time of year. If my child already has a passport, do I have to bring their birth certificate? Y es! The application will not be processed without the birth certificate attached. The birth certificate is to prove your parental link to the child which cannot be proven by submitting only their old passport .
